My artist name is Masey, real name Christian Masena. I was born on the 26th of June 1988 in Kinshasa DRcongo. I first came to Canada when I was 11 years old and went  back to Congo 2 years after because of family problems. That was when my passion for rap started but I real got into rapping during my high school days. At the age of 17, I created my first group called "Nice Boys". The group was composed of my high school friends and we performed at various events throughout the city and at all high schools.

After I graduated from high school, I joined my church's chorus where I quickly learned the art of singing. It wasn't too long after that I left Congo once again and came back to Canada to check on my sick dad who was suffering from lung cancer at the time. I figured I would have an opportunity to pursue my raping career since I was back in North America but my father died the same day that I came back and my life changed completely. I was all alone and had to take tough choices.

I thereafter decided to enrol in school and I joined the University of Ottawa where I'm finishing a bachelor degree in health sciences. While in school though, I never put my rapping on cold ice as I was still writing songs the whole time just wasn't able to record and perform at events.

A year ago I decided to once again pursue my career as an artist and I’m finally fully BACK IN THE GAME! I just dropped my first official video "Shégué-Moto" (above) a month ago (A song for the kids living in the street). It’s one of the 14 titles of my first Mixtape coming soon. Furthermore, together with three close friends, we've created a dance group called "Koncept dance group".
